This is part of a series on Lafayette’s visit to New England – June 13 to June 29 1825.

Lafayette attended the morning service at church in Brattle Square. He visited General Dearborn and T.L. Winthrop. He paid respects to General Hull and lady at the residence of Mr. McLellan, in Winthrop Place where he met the children and grandchildren of General Hull.  He also met with General Cobb and General Huntington of Connecticut.  He visited General Dearborn and J. L. Winthrop at their residences. In the afternoon he visited the country house of Thomas H. Perkins at Brookline.

In the afternoon he attended divine service at Trinity Church.

In the evening he called on Mrs. Ticknor on Common Street. He paid his respect to Madam Humphreys the relict of his friend and companion in arms and spent the rest of the evening with Mrs. Richard Derby in Chestnut Street.
