Jill Stein has been arrested again.  This time it was for trespassing.  She was bringing food and Halloween candy to protesters camping out in trees to protest the Keystone XL pipeline.  Getting arrested as a campaign strategy ? I wonder if that can still work if you have Secret Service protection.

So President Obama as you survey the results of Hurricane Sandy, here is my question for you.  When you were at Hofstra University not talking about climate change with Governor Romney did you know that the Presidential candidate that did want to talk about climate change was shackled to chair a few miles from the debate ?  Did your minions tell you about the 62 year old lady doctor – Green Party candidate Jill Stein who wants to talk about climate change   being arrested for blocking traffic ?

[Interestingly there is Republican support for a carbon tax.  The Obama administration in the mean time is taking great pride on having gotten oil production up.

You probably don’t want to use a political party’s website as a source for scientific information, but here is what I saw on the Green Party’s site that I found most disturbing.

The world already has five times as much oil, coal and gas available as climate scientists say the atmosphere can tolerate.  So rather than drill for more fossil fuels, we must keep 80 percent of those reserves locked away safely underground to avoid a climate disaster.

If this is true, then the Dem/Reps are really leading us astray.

My first piece on the Green Party was an examination of the tax section of their platform, which probably needs a little work.  I thought in the interest of thoroughness I should take a look at Dr. Stein’s returns, as I had the other major candidates.  I was surprised that they were not readily available.  I was prepared to launch into a speculation on what might be in them, but my friend Jonathan Schwartz of Interlock Media convinced me that I should go for an interview with Dr. Stein instead.   Amazingly we pulled it off.  Doctor Stein indicated that her returns would be released shortly.  Since then she has been arrested twice.  I’m going to take the word of her campaign that they have just been too busy to get around to releasing the returns.  It doesn’t seem like anybody else is asking.

I asked Dr. Stein about many things in the Green Party platform, but she had plenty to say about climate change and her party’s proposals to deal with it.  Here is the entire interview if you have an hour to spare.
