I just got One of the Godslayer cycle for my kindle. It is off to a pretty good start, but I’m still not sure I can invest the time in another series. Repairman Jack took a lot out of me. There is a reluctant hero and some magic swords involved. We’ll see.

Churches are not required to file and I can think of no good reason for them not to. Except for the ones that are run by phony bastards. It is hard to see how financial transparency interferes with “free exercise”.

Over and over again courts have said that there is nothing sinister in so arranging one’s affairs as to keep taxes as low as possible. Everybody does so, rich or poor; and all do right, for nobody owes any public duty to pay more than the law demands: taxes are enforced exactions, not voluntary contributions. To demand more in the name of morals is mere cant.
